KALIBO DISTRICT - I

The Alternative Learning System (ALS) is a free education program implemented by the Department of Education (DepEd) under the Bureau of Alternative Learning System which benefits those who cannot afford formal schooling and follows whatever is their available schedule. The program provides a viable alternative to the existing formal education instruction, encompassing both the non-formal and informal sources of knowledge and skills.

Extension Testing Center inaprubahan ng BALS!  

Ang Kalibo District BJMP ay kabilang na sa testing center sa darating na  2012 ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM ACCREDITATION AND EQUIVALENCY (ALS A&E) TEST REGISTRATION AND ADMINISTRATION. Ayon sa DALSC na si Valquin Pullantes ang pagkakaroon ng Extension Testing Center sa BJMP ay makakabuti ito sa seguridad ng mga mag-aaral nilang mga inmates, dagdag niya ito rin ang naging bunga ng kanilang kooperasyon sa Warden na si S/Insp. Cobarde at ng Mobile Teacher na si Azalea E. Jabagat.

A Successful Launched in The District of Kalibo I


A new project the Radio Based Instruction of Kalibo District I has been successfully launched last July 30, 2012 at  the Kalibo Pilot Elementary School DLRC. Attended by Ms. Erlinda Angeles - the Education Program Specialist II of the Bureau of Alternative Learning System as the guest speaker together with her is the Regional ALS Focal Person Ms. Gemma Mondragon and Dr. Dominica Parcia of the Regional incharge of the Special Education who attended also the launching, the District Supervisors, Principals, Local Government Unit of the Municipality of Kalibo SB Member Ariel Fernandez was sent in behalf of Mayor William S. Lachica, barangay officials, DALSCs & MTs and the recipient of the RBI the learners were there also. The RBI is another delivery  mode of ALS in which the learners will listen to the radio and they will be given instruction through listening to a drama and questions will be asked after the drama ends, they can answer interactively by sending text messages or they can answer it on a paper were the teachers will discuss it  with them on the given schedule of their learning sessions in their barangays. It has been a project proposed by the DALSC Valquin V. Pullantes together with the MT Azalea Jabagat. The first airing was August 12, 2012 at the 98.5 Hot FM station.
